Next Steps

What do we do now?

Now that we have both of our acceptances, we have some things coming up.

Our next mileston is New Staff Training. We are schedule to take this training November 1st through 8th. As a matter of fact, I just booked our tickets.

Here is a brief description of NST from the Crusade website. "During that time, you will learn where you will be serving on staff..., receive training for your ministry partner development and gain a wealth of additional preparation to serve the Lord with the ministry." Normally, NST lasts 6 weeks and involves Seminary courses. While Jana and I wish to take part in that, the November training works for a variety of reasons, namely our timetable is moved up somewhat.

In addition to learning about our ministry and the organization of Campus Crusade for Christ, we will be focused on training for Ministry Partner Development. "As a staff member with Campus Crusade, you are responsible for developing your own financial support through a team of ministry partners. This includes your salary, benefits and reimbursable ministry expenses. When 100% of your support is raised, you will report to your ministry location." This is a very exciting aspect of joining Crusade as we will be very aware of the fact that our salary comes 100% from the Lord's provision. While this is true of our current jobs as well, we will be reminded daily of this during the process of raising support as well as in maintaining contact with our ministry partners while we are serving.

Jana and I ask for your continued prayer for us. Now that we have finished the first checkpoint, moving forward is going to be a rewarding time when the Lord with strengthen our faith in Him and our reliance on Him.
