The Sun is Shining in Orlando!

Greetings from Orlando!

We are in the middle of Week 3 in which we are learning about adjusting and adapting to living in a new culture. Last week, we studied language learning methods and even began to learn German! That was a surprise that we welcomed with open hearts!

The training thus far is going very well. Aside from the many lessons that we are learning, the AIT team and the Campus Crusade people that we have met have been amazing. Our hosts, Yale and Donna Kushner, along with their daughter Danica, have welcomed us into their home. From the moment we stepped into their house they have treated us like we are their family.

Just to give you a highlight of what has been and what is to come, here is a taste of a few of the lessons that are on our syllabus.

- Maintaining long distance relationships (Week 6)

Now as we said this is just a taste. There are many other valuable lessons that the AIT team has in store for us. Our minds are like sponges right now, just trying to soak up everything we can! It has been an amazing 2 ? weeks thus far, and we are so blessed and thankful for what the Lord is teaching us right now. Since we have never lived overseas, there are many things that had not really entered our minds, but the AIT team has thought of it all. The staff who are guiding us have gleaned their experience from living in various cultures from Greece, France, Israel, Russia, Asia and more. Needless to say, the lessons we are learning have come from real life experience. To close, we would like to ask for prayer in the following areas:

• ?ability to process all the information we are receiving


• energy (while everything has been great, we are quite exhausted!)


• for us to find opportunities to serve our cross-cultural church here in Orlando


• safety in driving in and around Orlando (it is apparently an accident prone city)
