This morning started off with a time of praise and worship and prayer, then quickly moved into "Connecting with Culture" by Steve Rodd. This topic sounds very familiar, since we touched on very similar things at AIT. I love it when things connect! Steve's focus this morning was on creating websites and media that reach people where they are in life, culture and their Spritual Journey.

We watched several commercials and a short film that all touched on this theme. The secular world, in commercials, movies and other advertisements has adopted this and used it very effectively. We are able to use what they use to reach people in much the same way, on an emotional level that meets them where they need. Fortunately, advertising companies cannot claim a "first to market" title. Jesus was a master at Connecting. Using John 3 - 4, Steve demonstrated Jesus connecting with a pharisee and a Samaritan woman on very differen levels and using different methods.
