Sunday Morning Good News
How many good things can happen in one Sunday Morning? We had a very good morning today, one that we hope continues in the future!
First, we were scheduled to speak to a Sunday School class this morning. That in and of itself is great, but while we were waiting for friends that are in that class, the head of Missions Committee, Gary Petry, saw us on the way to his class. He stopped to talk with us and we are truly blessed that he did. After getting updates on how we are doing, he gave us some news that we have been waiting for since May. The Elder Board has approved our support from the Church! Not only are we approved missionaries of Christ Chapel, they will also be supporting us financially! That was tremendous to hear just before we went in to share our ministry with others.
While we were talking with Gary, our friends arrived. We ventured into their classroom, where we immediately met their class. We were originally scheduled to speak for 5 to 10 minutes. After a bit of late start, we spoke for what seemed like 10 or 15 minutes (it may have been more!). Much to our delight, they began asking question after question! That was very encouraging. Needless to say, when we wrapped up, class time was over!
We left very encouraged, though a bit tired. Thank you for all of your prayers for the decision of the Elder Board, as well as more opportunities to share our ministry!
