Thad arrived in Bangkok
I have not talked with Thad yet, but he arrived in Bangkok earlier today feeling really tired and discouraged. I missed two phone calls from him, and on both of the messages he sounded pretty down and out...
It apparently took him 2 hours to get through customs in the Bangkok airport (at midnight Bangkok time), and during the process he lost his Debit Card. Thankfully, he withdrew a little money from an ATM before the card went missing, but with his tiredness and the tediousness of customs it was somehow lost in the shuffle. I called our bank this afternoon, and praise God no other transactions were made on our card. He is uncertain as to his money situation at this point. Thankfully, he still has his credit card, but the downside is that it is unlikely that he will be able to use it at many places. He arrived at his hotel at 1:30 AM after a very long 26 hours of traveling, so please pray for the Lord to lift his spirits and give him renewed energy.
His birthday is tomorrow, and I want him to be able to enjoy himself. Please pray that the Lord will bless his birthday and provide for him encouragement throughout the day. Pray also that we will be able to connect via phone, so that I can help to lift his spirits. He is 13 hours ahead of us in time, so at the time of this posting it is early morning in Bangkok.
Thank you for your prayers. They have been a tremendous blessing for me, as the Lord has taken away feelings of worry and anxiety. I even managed to stay calm when I listened to Thad's message about losing his debit card. Let us continue to lift Thad up in prayer, so that his burdens will be lifted from his shoulders.
