First Day in Bangkok
After a bit of a rocky start, things are going very well! Jana was able to take care of the card (no charges made, praise God!) and I got a good night sleep...
This morning, I woke up after a whopping 6 hours of sleep. I am sure my body was telling me it was 7 PM and should be awake. Whatever the reason, I was able to get up and call Jana, where I got the good news about the debit card and, of course, I got to talk to her!! I left 2 messages before I went to bed and I am sure that it sounded as though things were much worse than they were! 26 hours of travel will do that.
I had a very good breakfast this morning, where I met 2 guys that are here with the meeting and another that I previously met at MinistryNet, also here for the meeting. We had a good 2 hour breakfast and talk time! After leaving them, I went to get a book to read (I am a bit too tired to go out at the moment) and settled into the lobby to get a little reading done. After about 10 minutes, Keith and Kay Seabourn came out from breakfast/lunch and we sat and chatted for a while.
I returned to my room when my roommate arrived, at least my first roommate. At MinistryNet, on the second night, I had 4 roommates!!! Who knows what may happen!
And lastly, I discovered that I get a free internet connection in my room!!
Thank you all for your prayer!
