the craziness of our days...
...so,
July 30th, the big date, this coming Sunday!! Amidst the packing, saying our good-byes, and trying to sleep, we are continuing to work on our financial support, so that we can be cleared for moving to Germany. The Lord has graciously provided so much for us already, that we know He will provide every penny that we need. As you can see, listed in the Prayer Column, this week will be bathed in prayer over the remaining needs that we have. As you think of us this week, please whisper, shout, sign, send in Morse code as many prayers as you can on our behalf.
What happens on July 30th? We board a plane for England to attend the European All Staff Conference (EASC) in Nottingham and will be in England for 2 weeks.
What if we still have financial needs? Pray that we won’t! If we have to use our return flight (pray that we won’t!), then we will only return for a couple of weeks to finish up those remaining needs. We also have a lot of paperwork and an approval for departure process that may need tending to as well. The past couple of weeks we have been working diligently to gather all of the paperwork and information needed for Campus Crusade, and we are praying that the approval process will be quick.
What will we do with our stuff? This week we will finish putting everything into one place and then call movers to figure out all of the arrangement, packing process, ETA, etc… and arrange for our stuff to be moved and supervised (by someone in our family) after we have left.
Do you have a place to live yet? Nope, not officially! Since we are not officially approved for departure, we have not been able to commit to a lease or temporary apartment. We have heard from staff in Kandern about a quiet, three bedroom apartment that is available September 1st, so pray for continued availability. In addition, if you read Jana's latest post, you will read about a neat loft opportunity in the Art Factory. Pray a temporary arrangement is available for our arrival, if the above possibilities are not immediately ready. Since our stuff is not leaving at the same time as we are, we have quite a bit of flexibility for finding a permanent place. As long as we have a place to sleep and shower, we will be happy!
So basically, we are living each day, hour, and minute by faith and trusting for the Lord’s provision in every way. Yes at times it is frustrating, at others exciting, sometimes a little saddening, but mostly we are just thankful that God is working out all of the details. As we have witnessed in ourselves these past couple of years, our abilities to accomplish mountainous tasks are pretty weak. With the Lord’s strength and grace, we know that any mountain is possible to climb; sometimes we just can’t see the top until we are there.
Sincerely,
Thad and Jana
