Being Prayed Over

Well, my promise of posting to our site yesterday, never came to pass!

A couple of highlights...we continue to meet tons of people from all over Europe! I am learning some very unusual names (well, unusual to us at least) and how to pronounce them. We have been able to visit with several people from the office during the meal times. A couple of folks brought photos of apartments for us to look at, so we have now been blessed with a few good options for places to live. We had an office meeting this morning and had the opportunity to meet new folks and to share our story with them. They are very excited and anxious for us to arrive...that certainly makes us feel loved!

The conference times have all been encouraging, informative, and very interesting. Again, we have heard from all over Europe...Spain, Switzerland, France, Finland...the list goes on. It is very exciting to hear stories of how the Lord is working in so many different ways.

I attended a ladies luncheon today...and for those of you who know how slowly I eat, you will think this is rather funny...out of 30 tables of about 10 ladies per table, my table was the very last one dismissed to the buffet. Ironically, once I was three people away from the buffet, the meat portion of the meal ran out. So, they sent us to the other side of the banquet hall to another buffet table. Again, the meat ran out!! After waiting for about 10 minutes, they brought out some more food, and I finally was able to get a plate!! No worries, I wasn't frustrated or anything...I just thought it was pretty ironic and funny that I was one of the last to be served! Needless to say, I was still eating even once the luncheon speeches were finished!!

We have had many people pray over us during our time here, and it has been so encouraging to see so many people cheering for, encouraging, and challenging us. What a blessing it is to know that we will soon be working daily with them. Little did we realize that this long journey of support raising has actually been encouraging to many people we keep in touch with (both here and in the States). Thank you for sharing that with us because at times we feel like we are letting the Lord down...thankfully He takes away those negative and false thoughts to remind us that this process is not about us letting Him down, it is about seeing and showing His Glory. So, whether we are learning perseverence, patience, boldness, or how to stay focused, the ultimate end for this journey is that the Lord's Glory will shine and be known to each one of you who is a part of it. Praise God for teaching each of us lessons in unique and detailed ways and for giving us the strength to endure the tough challenges we have faced.

Pray for energy (jetlag is really a killer when you have to be so active!), for the Lord to bless our support raising even while we are away, and for our times with other staff that the Lord will teach and encourage us during each conversation.
