First Christmas, Updates
I hope that you enjoyed a wonderful Christmas Holiday. Ours was a delightful first Christmas in Germany. We visited the Freiburg Christmas market, attended a German Christmas Eve church service, ate a traditional Christmas Eve German meal, went ice skating with 2 families, ‘webcam’ed with our families, and we also took some time to rest.
The past two weeks have been a surreal experience (if you are experiencing déjà vu, it’s probably because we have said that before!), but we have rested in the Lord’s comfort as we encounter each new transition and change. At times, the adjustment has been exhausting, at others challenging, but all in all the time for us has been filled with excitement. We have enjoyed hearing about the Lord’s work through Agape and are eager to begin that work ourselves.
We have a few praises and prayer requests to share…
Praise:
Our bank transfer went through from the US end
Our container has cleared customs
We are settling into our new apartment nicely
We bought a dining table that we absolutely love (we’ll have to post pictures later)
We already have many new friends
Prayer Requests:
For our German Bank Cards and information to arrive…we need this for paying rent, paying our shipping company (on the German end), and to finish furnishing our apartment (ie, buy a sofa, wardrobes, and such).
For provision of extra funds…we were charged an additional 500 euros for the storage of our container
For our container to arrive ASAP!!
For a quick response to getting phone and internet in our apartment
For continued peace amongst constant change
Thank you for your continued prayers and encouragement…we can not express the joy we feel in knowing that we are lifted up in your thoughts and prayers.
Here are some recent photos…
