A Quiet Day at Home
As I write this, our windows are open on this sunny, 70 degree day. Jana and I stayed home today to work on some German and relax after some long weeks. They were not long enough, but in many ways, they were too long.
I posted on my Facebook site that "in the last 3 weeks, I have been to Germany (starting point, to and from Frankfurt twice!), UK, Thailand, Singapore, back to Germany, Spain, Switzerland, Austria, France and, the best of all to country drop... Liechtenstein!!!"
That does not sum up our time but is fun anyway.
Jim and Monica Erwin left yesterday after nearly a week with us. Most of that list was with them as we were able to see some wonderful sites in only a few days. Their departure was very sad for us because they are heading back to London to finish packing to move back to the states. They leave Saturday to return to Iowa.
While we enjoyed our time with them, the Leadership conference in Spain and my time in Bangkok, to say that we were worn out is an understatement. We needed sleep and did we get it! I will talk about the construction later, but I will just say that while the Erwins were here, the construction crews did their loudest work just under our guest room at 7 AM!!!
This morning, at 7 AM we heard nothing. At least I think we heard nothing. I was sound asleep.
Back to German, I just wanted to say Hi and give an update.
