We are thankful for:

~ For The Time Has Come booklet. We fully recognize and glorify the Lord for giving Jana the ability (and time!) to put the booklet together.
~ Ability to travel for Sheena’s wedding and trip to the Texas (see Prayer request below)

We are praying for:

~ Pray for CM2007
~ Pray for safe travel. We leave June 5th to attend Jana’s sister’s wedding; we will be in Fort Worth from June 9th through June 19th; and will arrive back in Kandern June 20th.
~ Pray for continued adjustment to living overseas. Language learning has been slow for the past 2 months, due to our work load. We begin formal classes on June 25th in Freiburg, Germany.
~ Pray for Thad. His allergies have hit an all-time high. Thankfully, he was able to see a doctor, and the medicine given to him has helped.

CM 2007

At the beginning of July, 18,000 students and staff from 105 countries will gather in South Korea. To quote from the CM2007 website: There are about 8,000 top tier campuses in the world. There are Christian movements on only 2,000 of these campuses. This means that over 6,000 of the world's most influential universities are not being influenced by the gospel of Jesus Christ. Students are graduating and becoming doctors, lawyers, professors, and statesmen without ever being changed by the gospel. The vision of CM2007 is to change all that. CM2007 is Campus Crusade for Christ’s first global student missions conference. It will be a historic event with three primary themes: Christ Magnified, Connected Movements, and Completing the Mission.”

Agape Europe has 173 staff attending to represent our region. One in particular, Deb, from our office, is the Director of the Student Priority ministry in Agape. During the conference, the attendees will have the opportunity to learn about different regions in the world and the spiritual needs within them, including Western Europe. Deb asked Jana if she could design a small brochure that could be handed out for this purpose and that would also engage students who have a heart to join us in the Agape Europe movement.

Please pray that the brochure will impact many people. Around 10,000 will be printed and given out at CM2007 and also at the upcoming US Staff Conference this summer as well.

In a short time, the Lord has used Jana’s artistic and graphics skills to make the CM2007 brochure and the The Time Has Come booklet realities!

The Time Has Come Booklet

Jana’s first project for Agape turned out to be a bit larger than she expected. She began work on a small, tri-fold brochure. As it took shape, it became much more! In the course of 3 weeks, she had to put together a 44 page magazine style booklet. Its purpose is to define the current direction of Agape, and was to be handed out at the European Leadership Forum in April, and potentially (at least upon the 2nd printing since all 1,000 copies have been handed out) be used as a Public Relations piece within Europe to help garner interest and support from Europeans.

It is strange to imagine the impact something like this can have, but upon receiving their copies, staff leaders from around Europe were thrilled. Many approached Jana and said “This is the first time that anyone has done something like this for us. Can we have it printed in our language too?”

Perhaps, that is phase 2!

Sincerely, Thad and Jana
