Ministry Update
Our apologies for a rather lengthy break between letters. We hope to remedy that with this update and in the coming weeks.
Thad continues to work on Agape’s various IT projects and systems, and has received requests for installations of them in Spain, Latvia and the Netherlands. He will not travel again until early next year, so be praying for him as he plans his schedule for that time. Spain (see prayer requests) and the Netherlands are first on his list for installation, with a fellow staff member trying his hand at installing the systems in Latvia this very week.
He is also preparing for a short paternity leave and with that trying to get ahead in a few things at the office. Hopefully, the office (servers, printers, etc.) will run smoothly, allowing him to work from home for a short time. His time at home should also give him opportunity to focus on continued development of the Strategic Planning Cycle system mentioned in our last letter He’s looking forward to this time to help Jana with our new baby. Until then, things will be very busy with preparation; from getting Ministry work in order to finishing the babyroom!
Update on Jana
Jana is doing well. Her blood problems have improved, so we praise God for giving her doctors the wisdom for taking care of her. Her doctor says she is doing well, the baby is great, and everything seems right on target.
She was able to make a friend in her labor class, and in turn Thad has befriended the husband. After an evening meal in their home last week, both Karin and Arian encouraged us in our progression with German (both speak English fluently, but we pursued through German the entire evening!).
Well, the time is drawing near... less than two weeks until the due date. Be on the look out for an email saying that we’ve gone to the hospital!
It is hard to believe that the past 9 months have flown by so fast. 2008 will definitely be memorable for us. For now, life continues at a steady pace. We have registered at the hospital, finished with labor classes, are continuing to prepare the apartment (baby stuff sure takes up a lot of space!), planning for ministry projects next year, trusting in the Lord for each moment, and now are anxiously awaiting the arrival of our first child.
Thank you for continuing with us in this journey of life and ministry. What a joy to experience our Father’s love through each of you.
Humbly,
Thad and Jana
