Laugh Out Loud Moment

I’m at the grocery store bagging my own groceries (standard practice here), when the cashier asks for payment. Immediately I realize that I left my wallet at home and begin stuttering through random German words trying to explain. A long line of impatient people are standing behind me while she graciously tells me to pay the bill the next time. While this could be a “wow, that is amazing” story, what makes it an LOL moment was the next day while checking out with the same cashier, the same thing happened again.

Building Movements Through Administration

Sometimes it is hard to explain through words how the Lord is using technology to help further his kingdom. So for this letter, we thought to combine both visual (a map, shown right) and statistical information.

In the past year and a half, one of Thad’s projects has been to install and provide a donation data/software system called TntMPD.Dataserver. This system helps indigenous staff organize their support raising, while also connecting them to their donors and donations from any country in the system.

This not only benefits countries in Western and Eastern Europe, but has also been provided to Singapore, Brazil, India, Australia, and more...

A couple of other cool, little tidbits:
total number of countries using Dataserver: 56
(not all are shown on this map)
 total number of staff/users: 1800
 average monthly users: 883

What do these numbers boil down to?

Movement Building in 56 countries because 1800 National Staff are able to spend more time telling people about Jesus!

Oliver turns 6 months old today, and we must say that time has gone more quickly than expected. Here are a few milestones for him:

  • flown a total of 6 flights and traveled to 2 countries, not counting Switzerland & France
  • has had German, Spanish, Estonian, Finnish, French, and Dutch spoken to him
  • has happily eaten rice cereal, avocado, carrots, bananas and peas
  • has not yet rolled over or begun sitting on his own, but he is very close
  • learned to make himself laugh...it is very, very cute
  • his smile seems to get brighter every day

    Hey guys,

It is so good to hear about your ministry and the work your doing for the kingdom! I have to say my favorite post was the grocery store visit though...I can see myself doing something like that too.

Praying for continued good health, safe travels and further work in loving God's people.

    Much love,
    Amy

    Hey friends,
Sure do love seeing the baby pictures. Wow-can't believe we have all been over here so long. Are you folks considering returning to the States? Would you stay with Crusade?
We are enjoying our work more than ever. We miss Seth ( he just finished his first year at Wheaton and is now working at Honeyrock camp for the summer). We won't see him for an entire calendar year-thank God for skype and e-mail.

You must come see us in Budapest-a grand place as Thad knows.
    Blessings,
    helen
