Damah Film Festival

Before May 19th, I had never been to a film festival before. I did not know what to expect, what to wear, who I would talk to, and even where to go! Many of those questions were answered fairly quickly that afternoon. Casual dress, preferrably jeans; Thad attended the first session with me, so I was not entirely on my own; the festival was to take place at Culver Studios and another attendee from the Creative Summit had extra space in his car, so we didn't have to manouever the crazy LA streets!!

But, what to expect? That came as the film reel started to roll...

Encouraged, Motivated, but also Tired!

Okay, so our internet connections throughout last week were a little bit spotty, so we decided to wait to give updates once we arrived home. Our flight arrived yesterday, but because we were so tired, we literally slept until 11 am this morning!!!

Tonight, I am going to read through all of my notes and try to put together several posts for this week...so keep checking our site (I need accountability to get the posts finished!!).

So that you have at least a piece of our travel experience from last week, I am going to give you the weather/environment breakdown because it's easy!!

Rejoicing for a slow internet connection!

Late last night we received an All Staff email regarding slow internet connection problems at Headquarters in Orlando. We noticed that logging in has been slower than usual on our part, but assumed it was us.

To quote from the email: "Josh McDowell's The DaVinci Code: A Quest for Answers podcast has become the #2 podcast on the Apple iTunes site."

The podcast is currently hosted on CCC's Headquarter servers, but they are in the process of moving it (and others) to allow quicker access for both Podcasts and everyday uses. "More than 100,000 people have subscribed to this DaVinci Code podcast. Nearly three-fourths of the total headquarters capacity is allocated to serving the podcast files. Yet, we are finding that is still not enough...So rejoice in the network difficulties at headquarters! Be assured that the tech teams are working hard to address the issues and return service to normal, but while waiting for your e-mail or a headquarters-hosted Web site, spend the extra few seconds praying for the hundreds of thousands who are exploring spiritual things or becoming better equipped at ministering to their friends."

If Angels play soccer

As the title states, if angels play soccer during their off time (forget the theology of that!!), this is about what they would look like!

An Apartment in Kandern, part 1

The hunt for a place to live in Kandern is beginning! Please pray for the staff at Agape who are graciously searching for us.

A couple of prayer requests regarding our new home:

For an apartment with at least 2 bedrooms (for a future family, Lord willing, and we certainly want a room for guests!)
For a good sized kitchen (it doesn't have to be huge, we just need room for two cooks!!)
For lots of windows and natural light
For a place for Jana to paint...where she won't have to set-up/clean-up every time 'the muse' hits

As we have information come in, we would love for you to continue praying for us. It may be that we only have a choice between 1 or 2 apartments, but either way, we would love to have you walk this journey of finding a new home along-side us!!
