I'm going!

Yeah! I'm going to Mallorca (or Majorca...didn't know there are two ways of spelling it!!). I booked my plane tickets today and am really excited. I have no idea what to expect from the conference, but I look forward to finding out.

It will be my first time to fly on EasyJet...I love seeing their big orange advertisements. I don't know if it is still around, but at one time, they had designed a really cool hotel in London that was down to the basics. You know bed, bath, no fluff...not that I mind fluff, I worked in the hotel design world and love all the extra little bits. Sometimes minimalism really appeals to me though, so the EasyHotel idea sounded great...and I think they were only £10-£15 a night. That could have easily changed...maybe I will look them up again this week.

Planes, Trains and Automobiles

After a bit of travelling (less than some here), I arrived in Bangkok yesterday. Using 1 car, 2 trains (long story, that is not very exciting or horrifying, so I will leave it off), 2 buses, 2 airplanes and 1 taxi (yes, for those keeping track, the taxi was a car), I arrived at my hotel. The only difficulty I had was that my luggage was lagging behind a bit.

Busy as a Bee

Well, I finished my first project for Agape Europe yesterday (yes, Saturday!!). A few weeks ago, I mentioned working on a brochure for an upcoming conference. Well, that was the initial plan, but our directors decided they wanted a really nice, sharp, magazine-like brochure that could be introduced at the upcoming ELF conference (the one in Mallorca, Spain that Thad is attending in a couple of weeks) and possibly be used as a PR piece for Agape Europe in the future...

Luggage Lost

Hello folks!! I first must apologize because I forgot to email out a prayer request for Thad's travelling this week (more on why I forgot in the next post). He is in Bangkok, Thailand as of today.

If you remember his last trip to Thailand, he lost his ATM card in the airport. Well, this time he has lost his luggage. And, in the rush of it all, neither of us can remember if a luggage tag is actually on his suitcase or not. So, we are praying that it will turn up soon. Unfortunately, his only clothes are the ones he is wearing, and after travelling for the last two days, he feels pretty yuck. He hopes to get out during breaks in his meetings tomorrow to try and at least find one change of clothes.

Please pray that his suitcase will be found and delivered to his hotel.
