Pray for Thad
Pray for Thad right now as he is really sick. His meetings in Greece go until Wednesday. He said he isn't sure if it is food troubles, a stomach bug, or exhaustion.

Random Tidbits
I have a little time this afternoon, so I thought I would write some thoughts. Our days have been rather busy, but in a way that is really good. We talked on the phone with a good friend wednesday night, which was a welcome diversion for us.
Thad leaves tomorrow (a last minute decision) for our European Leadership's annual meeting. He is going to help answer questions related to a couple of technical systems, and also to do some training for the Technical and Operations Director in our Greek Office.
Most of our office (since over half are on part of the European Leadership) is in Greece right now...so, I'm sitting in an empty building (with music for company!) working diligently away.
It is freezing here. While we have had some sprinkling of snow, nothing is sticking yet. You can see snow on some of the higher hills in our area, but that is it so far. A task that we need to take care of in the next week is to switch out our summer tires for winter ones (a task that is not normal for this Texas gal).
An update on me...I am doing well right now. I have a lot of work at the office that is keeping me busy. After this next week, I will have some more time on my hands to hopefully start a new painting. Mental/emotional status...though I know our financial provision is in the Lord's hands, and I have a daily reminder of that in many ways, I personally still struggle with the low rate of the dollar right now. If you could pray for me to not let those thoughts run wild, but rather take it as an opportunity to see God at work in our daily lives.
Next Sunday several families are getting together for a Thanksgiving dinner. I am bringing cornbread stuffing (need to get the recipe from my sister, the expert!) and deviled eggs. It will be fun to see how so many people from different upbringings celebrate Thanksgiving.
We are hoping to take a short weekend jaunt to Paris in December. It will be nice to take some time off and enjoy my favorite city (as well as stock up on our favorite brand of tea...Mariage Freres).
Well, hopefully that wasn't too boring of an update. I thought I would just include some random tidbits.

Funny Little Signs
We should keep a running list, but these are some funny little signs we have encountered.
Bad Design - a nearby design showroom for Bathrooms ("Bad" is German for Bath)
Brillant Schmuck - a logo at a watch store (yes, the 'i' is missing, but it was still funny!)
Comet - a brand of citrus-flavored soda whose logo looks just like the American Comet cleaner
Happy End - a very common brand of toilet paper (I can't help but chuckle every time I see it!)

Newsletter Posted
Our October Newsletter has finally been posted. It was actually written a couple of weeks ago, but we were sidetracked before we could get it uploaded to the site. Enjoy:
