Someone just asked me for our blog address. We are talking about RSS feeds and blogs we follow. Since Jana and I started using Facebook, I fear we have neglected our blog. I apologize and pledge to correct this behavior! Thanks, Russ!!

You may have just received our latest prayer letter, or you are checking back for other reasons. I have good news! One of the countries that was scheduled for a "remote install" of TntMPD.Dataserver was setup today! Jeff and I Skyped for 3 hours getting everything setup and working. So, we will update the image and repost in a couple of weeks.

Pictures of Oliver

November 22, 2008

We setup a site where we will post pictures of Oliver. I know, another site... not everyone has Facebook, and we are out of space on Picasa and here! Sorry about that!

Tumblr is very nice for a photo blog, so we thought it worked best anyway!

Enjoy!

Announcing Oliver Thad Hoskins!

November 21, 2008

as for the details...
he was born this morning at 5 AM (German time)
51 cm (20.7 inches)
2.97 kg (6 lbs 9 oz)

Jana did a great job... she basically went into labor Wednesday afternoon, and "finished" at 5 AM this morning (Friday).

Please continue to pray for Jana and Oliver! I will join them back at the hospital in a few minutes.

Progressing, albeit slowly

November 20, 2008

We arrived at the hospital this morning at 8AM. They hooked Jana up to the monitors, and she stayed that way for 4 hours. They are taking good care of her and are very encouraging! Obviously, Jana is very tired, since she did not sleep at all last night. While on the monitors, she was able to sleep for 30 minutes or so (granted, there were 3 contractions during that, but she fell asleep just after they ended). Not a lot, but it was nice to see her sleep.

She ate not too long ago and they told her to get out and walk. So, we walked to McDonalds to get me food and send out an update. We will go back in a few minutes.

Please pray for strength for Jana and progress on the delivery!

Thad

Pray for energy and endurance

6:20am here, and we head to the hospital in about an hour. Jana's had contractions every 10 minutes all night, so very little sleep was had. They've been pretty hard for her, so pray for strength, endurance, and ways for her to be comfortable. Pray for me to have energy and to be intuitive in knowing how to help her.

Pray also for good communication with the Doctors and Midwives.

Thank you for all of the notes, emails, and messages received. We know many of you are praying, which overwhelms us greatly.
